Flower Brooch with Randi Adams

  • San Jose Museum of Quilts & Textiles 520 South 1st Street San Jose, CA, 95113 (map)

Unlock your creativity in this in-person workshop and learn the art of making a stunning, layered flower pin with the unique resist technique in wet felting! In this hands-on class, you’ll discover how to transform soft wool into a vibrant, textured flower that can be worn as a stylish pin or brooch. You’ll create multiple layers of wool to form the delicate petals of your flower, then assemble them into a beautiful, one-of-a-kind accessory.

For this workshop, please bring a bath towel and a squeezable water bottle with a sports cap (it’s the perfect tool to help with the wet felting process!). Whether you’re a beginner or experienced in felting, this class is a fun, creative opportunity to explore new techniques and leave with a gorgeous, handmade piece of wearable art!

Wool roving, soap, and all other supplies will be provided.

Level 1: No experience required. Minimum age 14.

From sitting on the floor, untangling my mom's fair aisle yarns at age 4, via knitting on her lap, then trying almost every technique available in elementary school through 10 sweaters in high school, it brought me to enjoy fiber arts more than ever after our daughters were born. I have made my own designs and patterns for many years and most patterns are stored in my head or on little note pads around the fiber art studio.

I enjoy all sorts of fiber work; knit, crochet, needle point, hairpin lace, sewing, but most of all, I love to do felting, especially art felting…Learn more about Randi here.
