Experience the magical alchemy of creating a color palette from nature. We will explore dyeing fabric and paper in a variety of colors such as yellow, red, and purple depending on availability. We will also explore creating a dye vat from different forms of dyestuff such as dried flowers, powdered extract and liquid extract. Pre-mordanted fabric samples and paper will be provided along with material recommendations for mordanting later on your own.
Dress for mess, especially shoes! Bending over, reaching and standing for periods of time are to be expected. All materials provided. You're welcome to bring your own mordanted fabric or yarn in a natural fiber.
